Jumpstart Video Productions has a part-time job opening in Cleveland for a locally-based creative professional with photography and videography skills. The right candidate is customer facing, professional in attitude and appearance and has the right mindset to be able to shoot photos and video in corporate or industrial environments. A clean driving record, a background check and a drug screen are all required. All Jumpstart Video crew members need to be cleared to drive company vehicles and be approved by our commercial auto insurance company. Jumpstart Video crew members are regularly granted permission to enter schools, industrial facilities or government offices where a background check is required for credentials or access badges.
Jumpstart Video Productions offers competitive pay along with continuing education and skills training. We engage in fun and rewarding media projects that involve creating images and video for premium clients. Our team members have the opportunity to work with professional camera systems including Sony broadcast cameras, Canon DSLR and Canon Cinema series cameras. We also use RED cameras including an Epic with the 8k Helium sensor and our new Komodo. There are media and video professionals on the Jumpstart Video staff who have decades of experience. They are passionate about transfer of knowledge and advancing the skills of those they work with. In many cases we promote from our talent pool of part-time crew members.
This position would involve on-location photography and video assignments where client communication, production planning and writing skills are needed. Candidates who struggle in these areas may not be successful or may not be able to take advantage of the opportunities this position has to offer. While not required, an understanding of journalism, local media production and the news gathering process is helpful. Knowing who the major Cleveland area employers are, who our community leaders are and who our sports teams are is important. Having a grasp of the socioeconomic and community issues facing Cleveland and northeast Ohio is a plus. An interest in creating media to support local nonprofits and community organizations is essential. Community engagement is a key component of our mission.
Individuals who are intimidated by or afraid of speaking to executives, political leaders or local celebrities would be uncomfortable in this position. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. The professional filter is absolutely essential and the standout candidate is one who knows how to balance listening versus talking.
